The Glenview Club provides full campsite facilities at very low cost, and is in the heart Hamilton, close to the Hamilton Gardens.
We called into the Glenview Club after spending the afternoon exploring the Hamilton Gardens. It was listed as a Parkover Property (POP) in our directory, but it now has full campsite facilities, including shower and toilet, laundry, some powered sites, and a dump station with fresh water for filling up.
There is quite a large on-grass parking area available, but only a single ensuite toilet-shower. It was an excellent shower, providing 7 minutes of hot water for $1. However, you might have to wait to get in.
Most of the campers were self-contained, so there weren't any long queues while we were there.
This is an excellent location to use as a base for exploring Hamilton. For a city-suburb location, it was very quiet as well as safe. And, of course, you have the Club restaurant in the evenings if you'd like a break from cooking.
You are also just a few minutes drive from the Hamilton Gardens - a must visit for any motor caravanners who enjoy gardens.
