Kaiteriteri Beach is a stunningly beautiful beach, just a short drive from Nelson, and adjacent to the Abel Tasman National Park. An idyllic location for a day trip, with as much, or as little activity as you like.

Launch trips will take you around all the hidden bays, and come and go frequently over the summer months. We took our two daughters on one several years ago and thoroughlly enjoyed the day. The boats typically provide a ramp for access directly off the beach.

You can also rent kayaks and paddle around the bays, go on a fishing trip, or just chill out relaxing on the beach.

There is a good restaurant/cafe, and plenty of parking space.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to park overnight in a self-contained van even though there are two large parking areas emimently suitable for this. The alternative, of course, is to stay in the holiday park nearby, but we think that this is a very short sighted view.  The holiday park staff will move you along should you attempt to stay.

This one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand. We've rated this location as 4 stars. It would have been an easy 5 star if overnight parking was allowed.
