Corbett Park is a community sport and recreation area located along the banks of the Oakura river and the harbour.
It's a pleasant, laid back location which is likely to be good for whitebaiting in season, and also for fishing along the beach. It looked like you can wade across the river to the Oakura beach settlement on the other side.
There are no signs forbidding overnight parking, but you should check with someone locally before you do.
