OTAGO: DUNEDIN

There is a parking area at the end of George King Memorial Drive which give access to the Taieri river. Freedom camping is allowed for self-contained motor caravanners.

However, this is more of a location that is used by locals during the day as there is good swimming in Taieri river. It can be busy at weekends in summer. The parking along the road is not very level, and it's a bit isolated if you want to stay overnight.

There is a longdrop public toilet, which was reasonably clean and well maintained when we visited.
