The Mangawhai Museum is a significant attraction in the town, and include a nice cafe and a public dump station.

The museum was just being built on our last visit to Mangawhai, so we stopped to have a look at the completed museum. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to have a good look through the inside - just a short chat with the volunteer manning the reception desk, and a look through the cafe.

Mangawhai has an interesting history, so this is something we will definately do on our next visit.

The dump station was very good, and fresh water is available at the rear of the museum. Check with reception if you want to fill up with water
