The Picton Top 10 Holiday Park is just out of Picton town centre on the road to Waikawa Bay. With excellent facilities, it's a great place to stay while exploring the area.
Like all the Top 10 Holiday Parks, the quality of the kitchen, shower and toilet facilities was excellent. It has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, created in part by some of the signs like the "share a smile' one.
I had a long chat with the campsite owner about the problems with free camping versus staying in campsites like his. But, in the end it is really about what type of holiday people are looking for.
Holiday Parks like the Picton Top 10 are catering to people who enjoy up-market surrounding and faciilites, and want to book into all the experienc type tours that make the Marlborough Sounds special.
For this market, they would be one of the best Top 10 campsites around. A great place to stay.
