Waipatiki Reserve

Waipatiki Reserve is a small roadside grassed parking area beside the river. Managed by DOC, there is a walkway on the other side of the rive that you can explore, or just stop for a break before driving the long winding road back to State Highway 2.
DOC's no camping tent symbol presumably includes self-contained vans, but is not clear. If you choose to park here overnight you may get moved on.
