The pier at Tolaga Bay is a prominent attraction, with a large Maori carving at the entrance. With sealed parking on the beach front, and clean toilets, this is a great location to take a break.

Go for a walk out to the end of the pier. You can try your luck at catching some fish, or just watch others trying. The Maori carved entrance is stunning in its own right.

There is a fish processing factory at the back of the carpark, and we were told that they allow self-contained motor caravanners to use their carpark overnight.

There was noone in the factory when we were there, so we couldn't check that out. There is only limited parking available, and you must ask if you want to stay.
