Kurow Holiday Park is a large campsite on the banks of the Waitaki river. It is very much a typical 'Kiwi' camping ground, with basic facilities that are well maintained. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of room for large vans.
The Waitaki River is renowned for its excellent trout and salmon fishing from late November to April, with duck and geese hunting once the fishing season ends in May.
There is a charge to use their dump station if you are not staying at the campsite.
