The Pier Hotel is a popular watering hole, providing pub meals overlooking the harbour. They also act as a park over property for self-contained motor caravanners.
Motorhome parking is in a large paddock next to the hotel. It is some distance from the Kaikoura town centre, but it's across the road from the harbour and walking distance to the Kaikoura Marine Aquarium. And, of course, there are pub meals to be had.
Be sure to check in to the hotel reception if you're planning to stay overnight.
