THIS CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Paia Point Campsite is the northern most of the Kaikoura Coastal Campsites, and is also directly on the beachfront, but only includes a small toilet.
This, and the Omihi campsite were our favourites of the four Kaikoura Coast Campsites. If you don't need to plug into power, then this is a little cheaper.
There were a group of adult seals on the rocks, and it was less crowded than the others.
The toilet was locked and for paying campers only.
