THIS CAMPGROUND IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Goose Bay campsite includes the main reception for the 4 Kaikoura Coastal Campsites, and includes a dump station as well as the usual campsite facilities.
It is more sheltered that the other beachfront campsites, being on the other side of the main road in the small Goose Bay community.
The facilities were pretty basic, but clean and tidy. The camp office also includes a shop.
We called in to pay our fee for staying overnight at the Omihi Campsite, and also made use of their dump station. It was unusual in that it was locked, and the manager loaned us the key to remove the cover - the first locked dump station that we've seen.
