The DOC Campsite at Lake Pearson was being upgraded when we visited, but should now be a great location right on the lakefront for motor caravanners.
Camp beside a high country lake in the Waimakariri Basin. This is a great base for bird watching, fishing or photography.
Unfortunately, because of the construction work, we weren't able to have a closer look when we called in. But this looks like a really nice location, and somewhere we'll plan to stay next time we're passing through Arthurs Pass.
