The Christchurch Top 10 Holiday Park is in Christchurch city, just north of the CBD. It offers some of the most up-market campground facilities that we've seen with prices to match.
We had just returned to Christchurch after exploring all down the East Coast to Bluff, and then back up through Queenstown and up the West Coast. We decided to check into the Christchurch Top 10 and enjoy a little luxury for a night.
We weren't disappointed! The quality of the showers, kitchen and lounge facilities were excellent. Even the checkin was through a drive through - the first that we've seen in a campground.
Compared with all the campgrounds we've visited in Christchurch, this would also be the most popular - and it was nearly full by the end of the evening. It was towards the end of autumn, when most of the other campsites were mostly empty except for the long-term campers.
At $48 a night, at off-season rates, this was also the most expensive campsite that we've stayed in.
