Pineacres Holiday Park is a large camping ground just north of Christchurch. There is plenty of room for large vans in a pleasant environment, and next door to the Pineacres Tavern if you're looking for eating out.
They were in the middle of upgrading the main driveway when we arrived, which should all be finished by the time you read this.
The campsite had very nice facilities that were comfortable. With plenty of room for parking, it's a good choice if you don't want to stay in the Christchurch CBD.
Like most of the campsites around Christchurch, there are a large number of long-term residents, but there is still plenty of room for casual guests.
