Public toilets
Tauranga Memorial Park offers free overnight parking for self-contained vans in a large, family focussed reserve with childrens play areas and beach access.
This a stunning public facility, with a swimming pool complex, mini golf, and a large children's adventure playground.
There are public toilets, but they are locked at 9pm each evening.
There is only a limited amount of parking available for overnight, but we were able to park directly overlooking the water. This a an excellent location, especially if travelling with young children.
Of course, you must be certified self-contained to park overnight.
