AUCKLAND: SOUTH AUCKLAND

Pulman Park is a large public reserve which includes sports fields, modern toilets and shower, public dump station, and a camping area for self-contained motor caravanners.

This is a stunning location for motor caravanners, just a few minutes off the southern motorway, and 30 minutes to the centre of Auckland. We parked overlooking a small lake where we met up with some good friends.

The park was being well used by local sports clubs and motor caravanners alike. But there was plenty of room, so it was not noisy, and just had a nice friendly atmosphere.

The toilet and shower facilities were excellent, although limited to just two toilets and one shower. And the dump station was one of the new motor caravan association designs, and about as good as you could ask for.

We heard on the RV Grapevine that the overnight parking area here is no longer free, so we called to check it out.

True enough, the Motorhome Parking sign below details that you must book ahead of time, must still be self-contained, and pay the $6 per night fee using the booking form referenced on their website.
