Martins Bay Holiday Park set in a quiet rural beachfront location. Run by the Auckland Regional Council, it provides a typical laid back Kiwi camping experience.
It's well used by Kiwi campers who have long term concession parking, where they can come on a regular basis. However, there are 5 nice beachfront powered sites, and several others, that provide for casual visitors.
You will need to book well ahead of time over the summer holiday season, but there is plenty of roon at other times.
There are clean toilets and timed showers, and a fish cleaning area for the keen fishermen.
The adjacent Martins Bay Reserve has nice beachfront parking if you're just coming for the day.
