The DOC parking area at Lake Ianthe is quite small, but is available as a campsite. It's off the main road directly overlooking the lake.
This is a really nice location, but the parking area for motorhomes or caravans is limited.
Like all the DOC campsites, registration is done in an honesty box, and there is a basic toilet for those who need it, and also changing rooms for going swimming.
Fresh water is provided, but it is not treated and should be boiled for at least 3 minutes before use for drinking.
