Kokotau Reserve is a small parking area with access to the river, and is available for overnight parking in self-contained motor caravans.
Access is down a narrow metal road and there is a turning circle at the bottom, but not a lot of room for parking.
The river is really nice, and there is clearly good fishing to be had as some previous visitors had left a pile of stinking fish carcasses behind.
This is not really suitable for motor caravanners with large vans.
