The Putaruru Memorial Club offers their large gravel carpark at the back of their club building for self-contained motor caravanners to park overnight.
While it doesn't look that pre-possessing in the carpark area, it is quiet and is in walking distance to the Putaruru town centre.
The Putaruru Memorial Club itself is a very nice facility when viewed from the main entrance in Buckland Road.
Puttaruru is a town that we've driven through many times on our way north or south, without ever having stopped. We were quite impressed with the quality of there buildings, and their very nice theatre. We couldn't stop this time, but we think this would be a great little town to explore.
