The Whangamomona Saddle is the third of 4 saddles on the Forgotten World Highway travelling from Stratford to Taumaranui, is is just before Whangamomona Town.
While it is not as nice a view as for the other saddles, the Heritage Trails plaque makes interesting reading for those interested in New Zealand history, and there is also a bush walk through the Awahou Scenic Reserve.
