Ohawe Beach Motor Camp is basic campsite in a peaceful location on the rugged west coast.
This is a good place to get away from everything except the basics and just to chill out for a while.
There is no mobile phone coverage for either Spark or Vodafone, which would certainly help with getting away from everything.
TheTe Rangatapu Ohawe Beach to Waihi Beach walkway goes past along the beach and takes about 2.5 hours return.
There is also a boat ramp driveway down to the beach.
