Shuping getting ready to tuck into her meal
The White House Hotel has a large parking area which it has made available for self-contained motor caravans to park overnight for free. They also provide very good, reasonably priced meals in their restaurant.
We called on the way back to Invercargill from Monkey Island. It was early evening, and we were looking for somewhere to park overnight, and preferably where we could have a break from cooking. The White House Hotel proved to be a really good choice.
We were able to park, sheltered by a large hedge. The restaurant was spacious and comforable, and we both enjoyed our meals.
This is not really a destination to travel to Invercargill to stay at. But, if you are staying the city, and would like a nice meal out, this is a really good option.
