The Ninety Mile Beach Holiday Park is under new management, and is getting a full makeover. Positioned within a short walk from the beach, it's a great location for fishing, and there is plenty of room to come with your friends.

We called in to have a look around in early Spring and Heather greeted us as we pulled up outside the office. She and Arthur had only taken over the holiday park a few months earlier, and were bubbling with enthusiasm for restoring it's full potential.

This includes retoring the bar and social area, and getting everything clean and tidy for the coming summer.

The park has plenty of room, and the facilities are all freshly painted. The spit roast area next to the bar is available for large groups - motor caravanners on convoy - or maybe future NZMCA rallies.

It is in a central location for checking out all the attractions in the area, and you can rent quad bikes, blo-karts, surfboards, and other gear from the Ahipara Adventure Centre.

The tour bus to Cape Reinga departs daily and can pick you up from the park if you decide not to drive yourself.

Arther is a keen fisho, and heads out to the beach on most days. His enthusiam was infectious, and he enjoys company. So, if you'd like to try you hand at surf casting on the ninety mile beach, and don't mind going for a ride in Arthur's car, just ask him about the fishing.

Even if you don't go out, you're likely to score a free fish if you're there for a few days. Arthur doesn't like to freeze fish, and is happy to share them around if he catches more than they need.
