NORTHLAND: BREAM BAY

The community market in Waipu is held on Sundays between 9am and 1pm. Motor caravanners can stock up on country fresh vegetables, some of our top quality olive oil, buy some artwork, or get a massage.

The market happened to be on while we were driving through Waipu, so we stopped to have a look. It's held on the second Sunday each month, and you can easily walk to it if you are staying overnight in the Caledonian Park.

The product quality was very good, and there was a wide variety of produce on display.

For those of you who don't already know, New Zealand produces some of the best extra virgin olive oils in the world. The producers are typically small boutique groves, and their premium quality oils are not sold in the supermarkets.

We enjoy our country markets - makes a really nice change from shopping in supermarkets.
