Riverlands Roadhouse is just south of Blenheim and offers low cost powered sites and facilities for motor caravanners, including specialty diner meals.
This is pretty much a one-stop-shop for overnighting - you can fill up with diesel, use the dump station, plug into power, use the toilets, shower and laundry, and optionally eat out at the cafe - any time 24/7.
There is even a drive-through truck-wash, although you'd want to be careful about solar panels, and other items on your roof.
The service is mostly focussed on truck drivers, but it's not a bad option for motor caravanners looking for something just a little different.
We visited again in April, 2021 and found that they now had a complicated system for paying for connecting to power, and also for operating their dump station.
