Waipapa Bay Camping Ground overlooks the rugged Kaikoura Coast, offering basic facilities and fresh crayfish purchased from the shop.
This is an interesting location. The facilities was basic, but ok. The campsite is on the other side of the road from the bay, but has a great view. It's not a large campsite, but has room for large vans, with on grass parking.
The big attraction, of course, is the opportunity to try the freshly caught crays - however, that does depend on availability, and whether the catch has been successful.

This campground has been closed following the Kaikoura earthquake.
