The Council is presently reviewing their Freedom Camping Bylaw
Kawakawa Bay Reserve includes a parking area, a children's playground, and public toilets for residents to enjoy the beach.
While it is a pebble beach, there are nice areas for a picnic, making this a good place to stop for a break on the way through Kawakawa Bay.

The Auckland Council have just made this location available for freedom camping! It's on trial, so please treat this excellent location with respect, and be considerate of local people enjoying their reserve.
